Zuzana

Office Administrator

Zvolen, SLOVAKIA

Zuzana’s own immigration journey began when she was 17 years old moving from her native Slovakia to Vancouver with her family. After completing her education in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Vancouver Community College, Zuzana began working with international students as an admissions advisor. It was during this initial career of assisting international students that Zuzana developed her passion for the field of immigration and assisting with people’s aspirations to come to Canada as she did with her own family. Zuzana joined Sas and Ing this past August as our Office Administrator and is flourishing in her role to oversee and coordinate all client communication and file management for the office. She is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak and is proudly pursuing her “favourite” language: Spanish. When she is not overseeing the smooth operation of the office Zuzana loves movies and a wide range of sports.

Roxana

Immigration Paralegal

Ayacucho, PERU

A Peruvian native, Roxana first came to Canada as a visitor in 2015 to both explore the country and study English as a Second Language (ESL). She fell in love with Vancouver and ultimately chose to further her education here pursuing a diploma at BCIT in International Trade and Transportation Logistics. During the course of completing her studies she met her future husband John who ultimately sponsored her for Canadian permanent residence. Roxana became a PR in October of 2019.

Before coming to Canada, Roxana was an employment and immigration lawyer in Lima for seven years. Given her background in immigration law in Peru together with her personal immigration experience, she was naturally drawn to a career at Sas and Ing where she started as an immigration paralegal in September 2019. Roxana is fluent in Spanish and English and aims to complete her law degree in Canada.

Roksana

Immigration Paralegal

Tehran, IRAN

Roksana joined Sas & Ing in August 2020 bringing over 14 years of experience as an immigration paralegal. She completed her education in Persian literature in Tehran, Iran. In 1990, shortly after the fall of Berlin Wall, she immigrated to Germany where she lived for 17 years. In 2004 Roksana immigrated to the USA before settling permanently in Canada in 2006.

Given her personal immigration experiences, Roksana chose to pursue immigration as her career. After her 3 years of hands-on immigration training, she obtained her Immigration Consultancy diploma and was a member in good standing of ICCRC for 7 years. Roksana is fluent in English, German and Persian (Farsi) languages. Her hobbies are travelling, NASCAR racing, reading, cooking and gardening.

Matt

Immigration Administrative Assistant

Berlin, GERMANY

Matthaeus (Matt) is a Polish born native and naturalized German citizen who possesses a keen instinct for travel and adventure. He first came to Canada to visit as a teenager and fell in love with the country that he would eventually come to call home. Matt is fluent in German, English and speaks basic Polish, French and Spanish.

As an accredited administrative assistant from the Centre of Excellence of International Relations in Berlin, Germany, Matt brings a wealth of both administrative and personal immigration experience to his role at Sas and Ing. His natural love for travel has taken him to numerous countries including the U.K., the U.S., New Zealand and finally Australia, where he became a permanent resident in 2011.

Matt came to Canada in 2017 as a visitor and subsequently obtained firstly a working holiday visa and then a young professional work permit. He is currently in the process of becoming a permanent resident of Canada. Matt’s considerable personal international immigration experience gives him tremendous empathy with and passion for assisting aspiring immigrants at Sas and Ing.

Cindy

Immigration Legal Assistant

Guangzhou, CHINA

Cindy is a native of Guangzhou, China. She came to Canada as an international student in 2011 and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Cindy has a love for travelling and after visiting such Canadian natural landmarks as the Rocky Mountains, Columbia Icefieds and Niagra Falls, she chose to settle in Winnipeg, Manitoba to experience life on the Canadian prairies. During her 5 years in Winnipeg, she met her future husband. After their marriage they decided to return to BC. Having lived in Canada for nearly ten years, Cindy has decided that Canada is where she wants to call home and she has applied for permanent residency.

Cindy has a natural inclination to helping and working with people. Coupled with her own immigration experiences, she decided to pursue a career in this field to assist others with their Canadian immigration goals. She completed the Immigration Practitioner Program from Ashton College in 2019, and is excited to join the Sas and Ing team to utilize these skills. Cindy is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Alifya Shakir

Bookkeeper

Mumbai, INDIA

Alifya Shakir is an experienced accounting professional with more than 8 years of total experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance with an Advanced Diploma in Taxation which she obtained from the University of Mumbai. At Sas & Ing she is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company. When she is not working, she loves to travel and be around her family and friends.

Judy

Immigration Paralegal and Accounting Assistant

Iloilo City, PHILIPPINES

Judy has more than ten years of experience as an immigration paralegal and has been a longstanding member of the Immigration Law Centre team. An immigrant herself, she moved firstly to the US before immigrating to Canada. Judy and her family arrived in Canada in July 2007 and shortly thereafter she began her immigration career with Catherine at her Gastown location. A licensed lawyer in the Philippines, Judy brings her professional background to assist Sas and Ing’s Filipino clientele. In addition, Judy has obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Vancouver Community College and her Immigration Consultant Diploma from Ashton College. Most recently, Judy has advanced to the role of accounting assistant. She is fluent in English, Tagalog and her native dialect, Ilonggo.
